Nathan Hanson is a photographer born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and is currently based in Los Angeles.

He has been studying photography since his teens but found his passion for visual storytelling in 2020 while traveling across the country. He honed his skills while documenting an empty Times Square at the onset of the pandemic; capturing the unrest in Minneapolis in the days following the Black Lives Matter protests; joining a fire crew to help contain the wildfires that spread throughout Oregon; and touring the Western U.S. — from Arches National Park and White Sands, New Mexico, to the Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree.

He is primarily interested in sharing stories that exist within American subcultures through compelling imagery.
